Yesterday, the San Francisco Department of Public Health held a symposium on the idea of having a supervised drug house. Yes, you read it right. The injection clinic will have supervised trained personnel shoot up intravenous drug users. The idea is to decrease overdoses, keep dirty needles off the street, and cut the risk of spreading Hepatitis C and HIV. The City will not supply the drugs, the addicts will have to bring it to the clinic. Now, keep in mind, this is the same state and city that wants to have Mary Jane legalized for medicinal purposes.
