Longtime XXL Magazine's EIC Elliot Wilson was let go by his employer, Harris Publication today. Harris' reason for the pink slip is they wanted "the magazine to go into a different direction in terms of expanding its scope." Umm...yeah...I think I got it...

Vanessa Satten has been named interim editor-in-chief of the magazine.
