Misunderstandings for Onix

ILNY Season 1 alum Onix (aka Will Lash) will be in his first movie, Misunderstandings. NFL football player Kerry Rhodes will also be in the movie.

Movie synopsis:

Have you ever met someone who makes everything you do make sense? Someone who you adore and adores you the same...someone you would want to spend your life with? What if something went wrong, would you care enough to endure the trials and tribulations, or would you throw in the towel? What if everything you two were arguing about was all a misunderstanding...but then again, what if it's isn't? Misunderstandings is about a relationship dilemma based on truth, lies and deceit. In this relationship, which element will have the strongest pull?

I am having trouble locating a trailer for this movie so whenever I find it or someone is so kind to do the legwork for me-don't worry you will get credit-I will post it.

Just from the synopsis would you go see it? Rent it?

Trailer: Honeydripper

As I was cruising through the blogosphere, I decided to stop by invisible-cinema. What caught my eye was the post and trailer of "Honeydripper." Directed by John Sayles and stars Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton and YaYa DeCosta (from ANTM fame).

Here is the synopsis:

It’s 1950 and it’s a make or break weekend for Tyrone Purvis (Danny Glover), the proprietor of the Honeydripper Lounge. Deep in debt, Tyrone is desperate to bring back the crowds that used to come to his place. He decides to lay off his long-time blues singer Bertha Mae, and announces that he’s hired a famous guitar player, Guitar Sam, for a one night only gig in order to save the club.

Into town drifts Sonny Blake, a young man with nothing to his name but big dreams and the guitar case in his hand. Rejected by Tyrone when he applies to play at the Honeydripper, he is intercepted by the corrupt local Sheriff, arrested for vagrancy and rented out as an unpaid cotton picker to the highest bidder. But when Tyrone’s ace-in-the-hole fails to materialize at the train station, his desperation leads him back to Sonny and the strange, wire-dangling object in his guitar case. The Honeydripper lounge is all set to play its part in rock n’ roll history.

Trailer: The Forbidden Kingdom

The other night, I was in bed watching a movie- Fighting Hyena with a young Jackie Chan. As the credits were rolling, I stated to my husband how cool it would be to see Jackie Chan and Jet Li in a movie together. Fast forward to today, while I was searching for new trailers on Yahoo!, it looks like I will get to see them together in a movie - The Forbidden Kingdom.

Here is the synopsis from IMDB:

An American teenager who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and kung-fu classics makes an extraordinary discovery in a Chinatown pawnshop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King. With the lost relic in hand, the teenager unexpectedly finds himself traveling back to ancient China to join a crew of warriors from martial arts lore on a dangerous quest to free the imprisoned Monkey King.

The plot is very corny, but I am a sucker for kungfu movies, especially if they have Jackie Chan or Jet Li in it.

The Forbidden Kingdom hits theaters April 18, 2008.

Trailer: The Perfect Holiday

The Perfect Holiday stars Gabrielle Union, the very fione Morris Chestnut, Charlie Murphy, Faizon Love, Katt Williams, Queen Latifah, and Terrance Howard.

Here is the jist of the movie:

Nancy (Gabrielle Union) is a divorced mother of three who is so busy raising her children that she's forgotten to take care of herself as well. With Christmas fast approaching, she decided to take her kids to the mall to meet Santa Claus, not knowing that her youngest daughter Emily (Khail Bryant) has sensed her mother's sadness and is determinted to use her time with Santa to make her mom happy again. Just a few days prior, Emily heard her mom say that all she wanrted for Christmas was a compliment from a man, so that's exactly what she tells Santa. Ironically, Santa, is struggling song writer Benjamin (Chestnut), who ends up giving Nancy just what she wants for Christmas, and much, much more.

Is it me, or does Terrance Howard look a little thin???

Movie Trailer: Rambo IV

Vietnam veteran John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) has survived many harrowing ordeals in his lifetime and has since withdrawn into a simple and secluded existence in Bangkok, where he spends his time salvaging old PT boats and tanks for scrap metal. Even though he is looking to avoid trouble, trouble has a way of finding him. A group of Christian human rights missionaries, led by Michael Burnett and Sarah Miller, approach Rambo with the desire to rent his boat to travel up the river to Burma. For over fifty years, Burma has been like a war zone. The Karen people of the region, who consist of peasants and farmers, have endured brutally oppressive rule from the murderous Burmese military and have been struggling for survival every single day. This is the time when medical assistance and general support from the Christian missionaries is needed most. After some consideration, and due to insistence from his mentor, former military man Ed Baumgartner, Rambo accepts the offer and takes Michael, Sarah, and the rest of the missionaries up the river. When the missionaries finally arrive at the Karen village, they are ambushed by the sadistic Major Pa Tee Tint and a slew of Burmese army men. A portion of the villagers and missionaries are tortured and viciously murdered, while Tint and his men hold the remainder captive. News soon reaches the minister in charge of the mission and with the help of Ed Baumgartner he employs Rambo to lead a rescue effort. With five young and highly diverse mercenaries at his disposal, Rambo has to travel back up the river and liberate the survivors from the clutches of Major Tint in what may be one of his deadliest missions ever.

Trailer: Aliens vs Predator: Requiem

This latest installment of AVP looks to be a big difference from 2004's AVP.

If you are not into horror, I suggest you go to the next post, it is insanely violent.

It's directed by Greg and Colin Strause, the guys behind the visual effects of blockbusters like Rise of the Silver Surfer, 300 and Mission: Impossible III.
